1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using 10Pins ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

10Pins is a mobile application that helps you track bowling scores, manage games (solo or with friends), view statistics, maintain a ball inventory, and share your progress socially. The App includes features such as score entry with standard bowling notation (strikes, spares), multiplayer games with invite codes, friend connections, and optional in-app purchases (e.g., Remove Ads).

The App is provided for entertainment and personal tracking purposes. It is not a substitute for official league or tournament scoring systems unless otherwise agreed by the relevant organization.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
  • Provide accurate information when creating an account and when using the App
  • Not use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other users' accounts, or our systems
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

4. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you create (scores, profile information, photos you choose to capture and save). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process this content as necessary to operate the App (e.g., syncing games, showing your profile to friends). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you post.

5. Limitation of Liability

YOU USE THIS APP AT YOUR OWN RISK. 10Pins, its developers, owners, and affiliates ("we" or "us") shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, resulting from your use or inability to use the App, any errors in scores or statistics, or any conduct of other users.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

7. Account and Data

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. You may delete your account and associated data through the App or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or for other reasons we deem necessary.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services (such as Firebase, Google AdMob, and Apple StoreKit). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last Updated" date when we do. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the United States.

Introduction

10Pins ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you create an account or use the App, we collect:

  • Email address (for sign-in and account recovery)
  • Full name and username (for profile and so friends can find you)
  • Profile photo (optional; stored if you choose to add one)
  • Bowling game data (scores, frames, games you create or join)
  • Ball inventory (names and weights you add)

Information Collected Automatically

  • Game and usage data: Scores, game history, and app usage necessary to provide sync and features
  • Device information: Device type and OS version (e.g., for compatibility and support)

Advertising Data

If you use the ad-supported version of the App, we use Google AdMob to show advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings. If you purchase "Remove Ads," we record that in your account so we can stop showing ads.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the App (scoring, multiplayer, friends, stats)
  • Sync your data across devices and with other players in shared games
  • Display relevant advertisements (free version) or honor your Remove Ads purchase
  • Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms

Data Storage and Security

  • Cloud & local: Your profile and game data are stored in the cloud (Firebase/Firestore) and may be cached on your device for offline use.
  • Security: Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; we do not store your password. We use industry-standard practices to protect your data.
  • Your control: You can delete your account and associated data from within the App. Uninstalling the App removes local data from the device.

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob (Advertising)

Used to display ads in the free version. See Google Privacy Policy. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings.

Apple StoreKit (In-App Purchases)

Used to process the "Remove Ads" purchase. Payment and purchase data are handled by Apple per their privacy policy.

Firebase (Authentication & Database)

Firebase Authentication manages sign-in. Firestore stores your profile, games, and related data for sync and multiplayer. See Google Privacy Policy for Firebase.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: View the data we hold (e.g., in the App and by request)
  • Delete: Remove your account and associated data via the App or by contacting us
  • Opt-out: Limit ad tracking via device settings; purchase Remove Ads to stop seeing ads

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy here and change the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
